Level 1 or 2 Diploma in Beauty

Course content

During your time studying for a Level 1 or Level 2 Diploma in Beauty you will learn many practical aspects of beauty therapy. These include facials, make-up techniques, hair removal, eyebrow and eyelash treatments, manicure and pedicure and finally, health and safety.

Whilst working towards your beauty diploma at our Sittingbourne centre, you are also expected to cover some business-related aspects of the industry including reception, key skills and customer relations. Alongside this, you will study theoretical topics relating to the beauty course such as anatomy and physiology.

Students will also get to practice all aspects of treatments on customers in the centre’s realistic salon environment.

Professional tutors with specific teaching skills will provide guidance and tuition throughout your diploma in areas of beauty therapy theory and practice.

Assessment

The outcome of your Level 1 or 2 Diploma in Beauty at Swale Skills Centre is measured through a range of different methods including assignments and on-going practical assessments.

These include:

  • Formative assessments
  • Summative assessments
  • Practical assessments
  • Online exams

You are expected to demonstrate 100% competency in all assessments, with an attendance record of at least 90% to achieve the full qualification.

Entry requirements

  • Level 1 – No entry requirement
  • Level 2 – Grade F in both English & Maths
