The Swale Skills Centre offers a range of catering, hospitality and nutrition courses in Kent, all delivered to students in our new, purpose-built premises in St Michael’s Road, Sittingbourne.
Our state-of-the-art, fully equipped kitchen boasts industrial standard stainless steel appliances and is connected to a fully operational commercial café. This high quality working environment gives our students hands-on, practical experience whilst they undertake their catering courses.
Students on our catering and hospitality courses also benefit from small class sizes of around 10 – 12 people on average, ensuring that our experienced tutors can provide individual support to each and every student.
All of our Kent catering courses are carefully developed to help students progress into further education or directly into employment, based on a sound understanding of the workings of a busy commercial kitchen environment.

At the Swale Skills Centre we have a variety of flexible hospitality and catering courses, from level 2 and 3 certificates to simple one day short courses. The units we teach our students typically include the principles of the preparation, cooking, and finishing of a wide variety of quality food products.

- City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Introduction to Professional Cookery (7100-11) 17
- City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Professional Cookery) 7100
