Machine Workshop Instructor
Ted is a retired tool maker who spent his entire working life within the engineering sector, starting as a maintenance engineer apprentice in Kemsley paper mill. On completing his apprenticeship he continued to develop his skills and eventually made the move into tool making.
Ted spent the remainder of his career working as a tool maker with a Sittingbourne based company.
In 2009, Ted came to the Swale Skills Centre to offer his services in the workshop so that he could help train the next generation of engineers. Ted began to work with us almost immediately and has since spent three days a week facilitating training in the machine shop, sharing his extensive knowledge of engineering with his students.
