Head of Catering
Oliver left school at sixteen and went on to Thanet Technical College where he spent three years training to become a chef. His first job in the industry was at Langan’s Brasserie, working for Richard Shepherd. From there, he progressed onto mostly four-star hotels such as The Imperial Hotel, Hythe, Crabwall Manor in Chester and Eastwell Manor, Ashford.
Whilst still in his early twenties, he became a senior figure in kitchens by developing and training his staff to extremely high levels of fine dining. Oliver has 17 years of experience as a chef in the industry and having started teaching at the Swale Skills Centre over 10 years ago, has developed a rapport with the Swale community. This puts him in an excellent position to head our brand new catering facility in Sittingbourne which opened in 2015.
